Throughout my younger years i never asked myself that question,everything was working fine, no worries but now being over 50 not everything is fine all the time and a new direction has to be taken!
For instance : you go for a brisk short run, let say 2 miles, well first be sure to do some stretching and then start slow and increase your speed as you feel your muscles warming up and your breathing getting more rythmical.It is very important to pay attention to how you fill, listen to your body and it quickly will tell you: HEY SLOW DOWN I AM NOT TWENTY ANYMORE ! or I FEEL GOOD KEEP GOING! Again do some stretching and drink water.
Let’s recap : stretch, start slow and when done stretch again and always hidrate .
All that seems very simple, but trust me if you go ahead and get going at whatever it is that you choose to do without the right approach you will pay for it later.
